
Overhead crane training also known as hoist sling operator certification, will instruct and teach your employees the basics of operating a overhead crane / hoist. This crane training will also assist you in increasing productivity and efficiency, while at the same time reducing the risk of product damage, property damage, and preventing accidents.
This particular crane training is also customized to assist the employees that may have trouble reading and writing while at the same time reducing crane training time.
Crane training assists employers in meeting the Occupational Health and Safety Act Requirements to ensure that their crane operators are competent operators.
Concepts of the safe use of the slings and cranes.
- Pre-Shift checks and inspection
- Material Handling regulations under the OSHA 49 through 64.
- The use of chains, spreader bars, grabbers, slings, and other attachments
- Maintaining a safe distance
- Load limits and Capacities
- The controls and basic operation
- Reviewing standard safe practices
- Lifting, moving, placing loads
- Analyzing the lift
This will take half a day with a maximum of twenty-five (25) participants per session. all training will be delivered on site and can be scheduled to meet your company's schedule, whether it be weekends or after-hours. We can meet your needs.
- Each Operator will be evaluated on the safe use of the crane/sling using equipment they will be using on a regular basis.
- A written evaluation of this observation will be completed, reviewed with the trainees, and given to the company for their records.
40 minutes per student. All crane training is delivered on site and can be scheduled to meet your company's needs. (Weekends, off shifts, whenever and wherever).
